About My Journey
CTSP Growth & Development

Where I Started
When I first started the Induction Journey, I had to goals.
1. TPE 1: Engaging and Supporting All Students in Learning.
2. TPE 2: Creating and Maintaining Effective Environments for Student Learning.

Initial CTSP Assessment V. Final CTSP Assessment
When I first participated in the Initial Assessment, I would rate myself between "Emerging" and "Applying" because even though I was a substitute teacher for a year, this was my first "official" year of being a teacher within a school. Due to this, I was still learning and adjusting my teaching practices.
However, when I took the Final Assessment not too long ago, I rated myself between "Applying" and "Integrating." I felt more comfortable in my abilities and knowing what my students needed from me.

Areas of Stength
When it comes to my strengths I believe that they are dedication, making connections, and compassion.
-
I am lucky to be in a environment that fosters students and teachers to be able to make meaningful connections with each other on a daily basis.
-
In our school setting, I see a lot of students from various backgrounds. It is because of this that each individual needs something different from me. this includes making sure that they know that they are cared for and empowered to be the best that they can be whenever they come into class.
-
Our Charter is always trying to find the best curriculum that works best for our students, but also gives staff the opportunity to give their input on what works best for our particular community which is awesome!
How Have I Changed?
As an educator, I have changed for the better. During this course I have learned how to better communicate not only with students, but with staff as well. I would also say that I now know how to better connect the content to my students, which was one of my two growth goals. I am also no longer hesitant to bring new ideas to the table and ask for advice when it is needed.

Opportunities For Improvement
An area of improvement for me would be how to better differentiate instruction for students with disabilities and English Learners without diminishing the content or their confidence. I have been collaborating with our EL and Sped departments in order to do so. They have been very supportive during this journey, which I am thankful for!

What Am I Most Proud Of?
This year, I am most proud of being able to no longer be afraid of asking for advice when I need it. I used to have that mindset of "I do not want to bug anyone since we are all so busy." I quickly learned that my staff is willing to help and offer any assistance when it is needed, which is amazing. I no longer hesitate to bounce ideas off of everyone during staff meetings or just with individuals. I cannot wait to see what the next year brings.
