Hello,
My name is Nicole Grecco, but my students know me as Ms. Nicole. I am still currently and Independent Studies teacher at Options For Youth Public Charter Schools. Last year, I was a middle school teacher for 7th and 8th grade, now, I am also a high school teacher and have grades 7-12! This has been an exciting, yet challenging addition to my year. I also became the Student Council lead teacher and leader of the newly added Art Club.
While it has been hectic, this has been such a rewarding year as well.
Overall, my teaching philosophy has not changed much from my first year. I still have my passion for teaching, but it has evolved into more refined and distinct areas. Over the past year, I have been able to work closely with the EL department and with students who are under privileged and apart of the Special Populations list at our school. Working with these students, I found that I am passionate about further pursuing ways that I, as an educator, can better serve these students.
Some of my most rewarding experiences as a teacher have been with these groups of students, whether it is seeing them be reclassified or seeing them graduating high school. The connections and relationships I have built with these students have been the most impactful.
